I select music that matches the atmosphere and theme of the venue. For example, at a trendy nightclub I might play popular dance music, while at a more laid-back bar I might play a mix of genres. And by using lighting, the ambiance of a venue can be greatly enhanced. Often I mix and scratch records or use electronic music production software to create live sets, which adds an element of excitement and surprise to the party.
